…An
ancient know how
Since
centuries, the Berber women of the Atlas transmit from generation
in generation the ancestral gestures of the tradition of
extraction of the oil of argan : the pickup and the drying
of the fruits, the crushing of the walnuts, the torrefaction
and the grinding of the almonds, and finally the malaxage
of the dough to extract oil from it. These manual operations
are accomplished exclusively by the Berber women who work
an average of eight hours to extract one litre of this incomparable
oil. |
